Hello, I guess I'm not new to Poser but this looks like the best forum that can help with my issue. I'm working on Victoria 4.2 & Michael 4.2 figures on Poser pro 2014. My issue is I cannot load the face expressions I've saved in my poser library without changing the face morphs along with it. I cannot find any options where I cannot dismiss the morphs part when saving a face expression created. So what am I missing here? Please HELP

Thanks, shed_e

Bit confusing this one? What do you want to do? Change "expressions" with no morphing ? "Cannot find any options where I cannot dismiss..." Or should that be "..........where I can dismiss? Maybe a bit clearer explanation?

Sorry If that was confusing. But yes expressions without morphing to be exact, thanks. Wow that was easy :)

I am a-guessing that you have created an expression by the usual way of manipulating the controls to get your desired result? And then you have saved this into the Poser Expression Library? Umm...Now when you load in your own expression from the Lib. you get what? Do you get the expression along with all the public variables that are part of Vic4.2 character? ..And what you want is just your expression without...shall we say... all of those variable dials? Is that it?

Are you using morphs++ or any other added controls? Or just Vic4.2 as is?

Sorry to be so long winded, but it's best to make sure of things..I guess. :) Hopefully I'm not getting confused.

Yes I did exactly just that, & then saved to poser expression library. When I load, the expression changes, along with the morph. (in this case back Victoria 4.2 base figure's face) Yes just the expressions without all the variable dials, that's it :) I tried both morphs++ and just V4 base. Same result came, maybe I missed something there. It's really alright, I understand. Just need to figure out where I'm messing it up, feels like there's an easy crucial step I'm just missing only. Thanks a lot :)

So is that it? You just gonna leave me out to dry here after only confirming what my question is? :)

It is rather sad that HELP forums here feels of no help. Wonder how long you have to wait till someone comes around.

I'm surprised that no one else has chimed in with the answer. Unfortunately, I am not at my own computer to verify the procedure I will post in this thread but the source is reliable. Expressions are basically Face morphs which should be applied to any character of a base figure without altering the character morph. The way to save an expression, select the Add To Library icon at the bottom of the window which will launch the New Set dialog box. Click the Select Subset button to open the Select Objects window. The Select Objects window will list all the morphs in the Face and they will all automatically be selected. Deselect all the morphs that you do not want to be saved then click OK to return to the Select Objects window and OK again to save expression into the Face Library. Additional dialogs will pertain to single frame pose or animation poses but you determine the appropriate category.

Now if the character face morph comprises of several morph dials, I would recommend spawning a new morph dial which will compile all the active morphs together before applying any expressions morphs.

First of all thank you loads for the response. Wow that really worked, and what you've said actually makes a lot of sense about the face morphs & deselecting the unwanted body parts/morphs. Pretty simple & logical way around it. By default in the morphs dialog box of face expression, the list looks very limited. But that is also where I missed the major part here, since I never bothered to click on any of the list to see the expansions of morphs under the selected part, instead tried everything else I could think of. Now I feel a bit stupid too, because I've created & saved a lot of poses in my library, hehe. Thanks a lot for the help and tips on this my friend!

You just made my day 😄 Cheers!
