Hair... Hair meshes has always been the thorn in our sides. The one thing that we have not been able make look truly real. (Without post production.) Well... I know how to do it, but must admit that I suck at making hair props. so this is a chalenge to the modelers of the forum. I would be happy to send an example of how to make realistic strands, if one of the modelers of this forum would be willing to create the prop. The consept is so simple it's funny, but it is the same as the tactics they used to make the hair props for Final Fantacy 8. The example image has no textures or bump maps atached, and is not as complicated (memory intensive) as it looks. Well there it is, any takers? -Gabe-

heya; i'd take it! um... of course, i'd use it to make a mane for the horse, so i dunno if you'd find that motivation enough to gimme the secret. (im like ace ventura... 'i dont DO humans' ;) )

Does it involve overlapping planes with transparency maps applied?
