Ever since the update for Poser 11 and Paul came out there is a silence that is deafening ..... any reason why?
Jules53757 posted Sat, 27 January 2018 at 11:47 AM
Don't see your point, check out how many threads are here after January 13 so I would'nt talk bout defeaning silence.

I am of course referring to Paul and Pauline.... They were updated but no one seems to have cared... As for the update in poser 11 I have not heard anyone say much positive or negative about it.
Jules53757 posted Sat, 27 January 2018 at 3:50 PM
Why should we talk about it? It works so what?

I personally really like Paul2 and Pauline2 ... they have been promoted elsewhere ... my bad, Ben working on a new Renderosity project ... look for a new thread on these figures on Monday. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Poser's had about 3 updates within the space of less than a year. Different forums have different amounts of posts. Sure it would be nice if they had staff talking about future updates and features but nobody except for a very, very few video games (Blizzard Overwatch) put out public news on a regular cycle. That would take time from employees working on new features.
The dust settled, thinking "what a fine home, at least for now" not realizing that doom would soon be coming in the form of a vacuum cleaner.

There has been plenty of talk at SM's official Poser forum. That's where most Poser users are nowadays.

Ha-ha-ha-,tja, Forums get loud when things are broken.
But Poser11.1 and PoserPro11.1 are very stable and working pretty good;
HartyBart posted Sun, 28 January 2018 at 9:04 AM
Poser 11.1 came out just before Christmas, and like most stuff released in those frenetic weeks it was probably easy to overlook.
But 11.1 was animation tweaks and a new v2 Paul/Pauline. So if you never use those, then the 11.1 wasn't very remarkable for you. It wasn't for me. Nice to have it, maybe it makes Poser 11 even more stable. But it's not earth-shaking, like suddenly having multi-pass rendering that works with different render types (Sketch/Preview/Firefly) and which can then be automated and output to a layered .PSD.
Personally, in terms of 'new' characters... if it's not about the old standards of V4/M4 et al, or a few of the fantasy/sci-fi standalones from the likes of Nursoda or Darkseal, then I'm not very interested. I'll take a look at a new character, but I don't want to get sucked into yet another set of expensive dependencies - "must own X and Y in order to use Z". That's not the case with Paul/Pauline, who are of course free. But one generic human looks much the same as any other to me, and I don't see the need to haul out and learn to use Paul/Pauline when I'm much more familiar with V4/M4.

Hi Kazam561 and DreaminGirl! I haven't kept up with any new updates been busy. Any changes to Poser's rigging?
Hi tonyvilters! Glad to hear she's stable. Now lay in a course; second star to the right and on 'til morning.
Hi HartyBart! V4/M4? I use to have them deleted them 11 years ago.

I dont do any of that stuff..other than pose in poser and render ... do some postwork if i think it will help the look of it. I've been using Poser sonce V1 pretty much exclusively. Tried several modelers and really don;t like it at all. Tried sculpting programs, not talented enough. I need push button pretty much. I used to use Bryce a lot, and Vue
