I was trying to migrate my Daz content root folder (from one laptop to a newer one) today and although I pointed daz to correct folders (and registered all the serial numbers) once the program booted it refuses to work with any previous dufs. It wouldnt load figures, props anything. As mentioned I had gone online to register it but I cant see any useful point in having to redownload all the stuff I ve already arranged to my liking in the root folder. Can anyone confirm whether this is a new behaviour of daz studio that content will only work if installed from online? if so I think I may be turning off updates from now on

Where were you trying to load? If the content directories were set correctly then in the Content Library under Daz Studio Formats should be working. Are you getting an error message or is it just giving dumb insolence?

as the laptop has a small ssd the program was in c>programs and all content was in an external drive. Id pointed daz to that content folder, and restarted daz a few times after entering the serials but where in the past you could see the thumbnails of dufs in nested daz content folders with the new daz studio pro there were no thumbnails and none of the content would load. In the end I took the daz studio program folder from the older laptop and had it overwrite the contents of the newer install
