I have a problem with a purchase I made last night; three of the items extracted from the downloaded .zip with no problems, but the fourth is throwing out lots of errors.
It's the Wilbur Bridge for D|S — the downloaded file is 35.2MB, but what can be extracted comes to less than 1MB of mostly content thumbnails; no files in the data, documentation or textures folders.
I'm getting the same "unspecified" error using both WinRAR and the built-in Windows zip utility. I tried using the WinRAR repair tool, and it didn't work.
Any suggestions?

That sounds like something got corrupted. I've never had a problem with a zip download from the Renderosity store.
Have you tried downloading a second time? Sometimes that works, because something occurred while downloading it the first time.

I've tried re-downloading a third and fourth time, with identical results. It has to be a glitch with the .zip file I'm pulling down from the Renderosity servers.
I have had very occasional dud zips, but the last time was many years ago, and I was always able to fix them with the WinRAR repair tool. This seems to be something different. When I look inside the zip, I can see all the missing files, I just can't extract any of them.

Oh that IS weird. The only times I've had problems with any zips I've download from any of the stores I shop at, I couldn't even look inside the zip, so it's unusual you can actually see the files, but can't extract them.
Have you tried getting in touch with the vendor? Maybe a new zip needs to be uploaded to the store.

Hi, I've just download the specific zip and it unzips perfectly fine without any problems or errors. Please retry after you clear your browser cache once again! :)

I didn't have any trouble downloading and extracting this zip file either. Are you using a download manager/accelerator? That could also cause issues.

Which zip utility are you two using? I know not all unzippers work exactly the same, I used to use two or three others and they didn't all have the same problems with the occasional dud zip file I came across.
I just cleared my cache and downloaded again; exactly the same error. I'm not using a dowmload manager, just Firefox on its own.
Is there any other way I can get a working zip file?

Okay, it's solved. As suggested upthread, I got in touch with VanishingPoint on sitemail, and they suggested I use WinZip. I did and it worked — with the very first zip I downloaded. Unpacked, installed, and I'm running a test render now.
Very odd, though, I've never had a zip file where I must use WinZip to unpack it.
Thanks, everyone, for your help.

Glad to hear you got it solved. I used to use 7-Zip until a friend sent me a RAR file, and I couldn't unzip it. I switched to PowerArchiver a few years ago, and have never had a problem since.
I did use WinZip years ago on an older computer, and never had a problem using it, so good to know it's still working well.
