Use the brow gone dial and they will disappear. Marque

They renamed the Brows In dial in V1 to Brows Gone in V2 to better describe its function.

Ack, Ghost is right you need to use transparency maps. Marque

Thanks Marque. I had the same question about the brows. I was using the transparency maps so I figured that part out. But I was still getting an outline on the brows, about to drive me nuts, so went and changed the object color from white to a skin tone and that seemed to fix it. In the material settings there were 2 brow objects, one was white and the other was brown. I changed the object colors on both of them. Did I do that correctly? Arleen

If it worked you did it correctly. 8^) Marque

ringbearer, There is a little trick I learned, if you want to make sure it's the same color as the head or body, go to the head texture and add it color to custom colors, there is a button there for that. That way you don't have to mess around with writing down the numbers for that color. Then you will have the exact color that you need to get rid of the eyebrows. Marque

Why on earth would Daz give her such ape brows??? They are unnatural even for a caveman.

Ghostofmacbeth posted Fri, 11 May 2001 at 3:32 PM
They are only ape brows because the proper texture wasn't loaded for transparancy
thgeisel posted Fri, 11 May 2001 at 3:35 PM
my textures render well, without any manuall fiddeling. Eyebrows: color set to white, headtexturemap and bumpmap is loaded but no transmap. upper eyebrows : all colors black, no texturemap, no bumpmap but the transmap is loaded, transmax and transmin both set to 100%
Jaager posted Fri, 11 May 2001 at 3:54 PM
And remember, on any transmap, the highlights must be completely black. Anything less than total black and there will be ghosting. Time spent learning to use the UpperEyeBrows properly will pay off. The effect is much better than the painted Eyebrows. I replace the Eyebrow texture with a skin cloning on all Head textures and only use the UpperEyeBrows. Complaining about the Upperbrows and only using the Eyebrows is a bit like hitching a horse to your new auto and cursing the manufacturer for puting that heavy block of stuff under the hatch at the front.

Thanks Marque for the tip on the custom color. That will help a lot. Ghostofmacbeth-Which texture should I load for the transparency? I'll check that again. PERVERS-I'm gonna try your tip also. Thanks for all of your help. Arleen

Jaager-You posted while I was typing so didn't see your reply. Thanks for your help. I think these are all good tips and they are much appreciated. I will try your tip out also. Thanks again! Arleen

it MWHeadTR or something like that .. The TR is short for transparancy
FLTigger posted Fri, 11 May 2001 at 4:17 PM
My original problem is now fixed, I neglected to put in the transparency map with the high res textures / bump maps .. typical that I applied the trans map to everything but the eyebrows.
Colm_Jackson posted Fri, 11 May 2001 at 6:17 PM
The idea of the transmap for the lashes is pretty straight forward. It gives the impression that eyebrow hairs are protruding out of the head. Like they do on us humans...:) This funcion was there on V1 but nobody seemed to use it. Personally i wouldn't do without it now. If you have 'Michael' it does the same thing.

THANK YOU JAAGER. Cause ya know, those eyebrows can be tricky. Some textures take advantage of the Upper Brows, and some don't... Your tip helped me a lot, thanks !!
