I am wondering if there is a way to do this other then just visually. Anyone know of a way to do this?

Many thanks for any help or suggestions.

The planet object presents the near side, does this not meet your requirements? If not and this is animation/tracking related a camera can be set-up to track an object which may help.

Thank you Ironsoul. I am not referring to the planets option inside vue. I am instead referring to a map of the moon wrapped on a sphere. I am using it as an object and it will not be in the sky but instead used as multiple objects on the ground. I am thinking there is perhaps some way other than just trying to do it visually. Perhaps a formula of some kind???

OK Never mind I found a good way to do it visually to a pretty good approximation.

OK, I was just getting ready to give you a little Python script (actually a sine and cosine expression) - laughing. You saved yourself from a little math bath.

Well I thank you forester! Yeah my approximation will suffice for now.
