I'm having a really hard time trying to get any eye textures to work properly in Superfly. They're either smoked out (as in the attached images) or the light overexposes them (no matter where the light is placed). In the image, the top is the Firefly render and the bottom is the Superfly render without changing anything.!

And here are most of the settings. EyeProblemSettings.jpg

You have to remove the nodes from alternate_specular in Eyesurface, if you still have problems you can remove the scatter from the Iris alternate diffuse

That should fix it.

That seems to have done the trick. Thanks!

assuming this is V4, have you tried my free superfly eye shaders over at Share CG? http://www.sharecg.com/v/88803/browse/6/Texture/Ghostship-Eyes-REV2 also for PE New Eyes example.jpg

I did, but I must not be using them right, because everything is whited out in the eyes when I apply them. And after looking through the folders, there's nothing in the "Ghostship Eyes" folder under "Materials" and there's only one texture (in the "Texture" folder) for the blue eyes.

How are you lighting your scene?

Well, okay now it works. Weird, except all I can find are the default blue eyes. No other colors in the MATs folder.Screen Shot 2018-08-31 at 7.34.33 PM.png Screen Shot 2018-08-31 at 7.35.53 PM.png

Yeah, I only included the blue eye texture map. The main point about this freebee is the shaders. You should be able to slip other textures in there and that should work fine. just remember that the iris needs a bump map.

Here is a little tip. Set your iris size to about -.25 and pupil size to -.5. That will make V4's eyes look a little more real.
