  • Problem:

Face Room is not launching in Poser 11 Pro SR6, with a message...

"Unable to launch Face Room. Please install 'Poser Support Files for Windows' from the Smith Micro Download Manager.

You load the Smith Micro Download Manager, but 'Poser Support Files for Windows' is nowhere to be found. Even if you clear out your previous downloads, still nothing shows up.

  • Solution:

If you have installed one of the PoserFusion plugins, know that you will have two serial numbers, and the Smith Micro Download Manager will default to logging on with the one you last used - the PoserFusion serial. This will then cause only the PoserFusion download options to show up in Download Manager. All the other Poser downloads will be ignored by Download Manager, as if they don't exist.

Log in with the main serial and you can download or reinstall the 'Poser Support Files for Windows'. I got the 465mb installer and installed from the .exe. I'm pretty sure I had installed this before, as I would have wanted the PDF manuals it has. But its reinstalled and the Face Room now works.
