Can someone please tell me what the yellow triangle with an exclamation point means when it shows up over the material in the Object window and in the Material Editor (Vue Inf. 2016) on the image that depicts the material.

In the 9.5 version I have, it means that the software is waiting for your CPU to compute a preview of the material.

I "kinda" think it has to be something else. I have version 2016 R6 - Build 602470. If that were the case, you'd think eventually the preview would appear. The yellow triangle with the exclamation point appears over the correct preview image. Anyone have a different guess?

It appears over the previous generated preview image. There's a 99% that the updated preview image will be the same. Vue gives such processes a very low priority. I can set it higher in my Vue options.

You are right, Shawn. I did some testing and it seems to have something to do with the preview. I looked in my Vue Options (admittedly only once) but couldn't find anything obvious to change to get a higher priority. Can you steer me in the right direction?
