We know road asphalt texturing can be a tedious frustration project. Myself over the years, I can never solve a good realistic road asphalt texture. Some have, and then leave it to themselves. I have searched for years, and lately on my new project I can not complete, solve a good asphalt texturing. Found one on Youtube finally (link below), but the video is very fast, that even slowing it down (the lowest), to 0.25 speed doesn't help. I go to the link website, and nothing. Meaning I have to pay for more asphalt textures that I already have. Anyone have a good road asphalt texture, that they can share or do I have to pay for something simple? I have paid for road asphalt textures in past (lots), but never got to use them properly.

Had a look at that video - you were never meant to see the actual node set, which would have made the whole video worthwhile. As it is, it's pure promotion and even then. I'd be ignoring friendly shade - dot - com as a vendor or reasonable developer as what was shown in the video isn't even on their list of products to sell!
Ordinary.
Get onto blenderartists.org - you'll learn how to put together a decent shader. Then, that texture will be reasonably trivial to set up.

Hello Robo2010
I do not have a current good resource for asphalt tutorial or texture but the guys who are running the relatively new site Texture Haven which are pretty good quality textures which include most maps diffuse, bump normal and displacement also have a tutorial channel on Youtube Texture Haven YouTube might be willing to help if you contact them I looked they currently do not have an asphalt texture but from what I have heard they are very approachable. Andrew Price (Blender Guru) Also has a texture site where you can request a texture but his site has both free and paid resources Poliigon I hope some of this helps

Great ideas guys. Yeah. contact Texture Haven will be a awesome.
On this project. The road texturing is really holding me up. Been all night on this frustration. That been weeks. So, right now, trying just day renders. But the thought of evening. When headlights on vehicle(s) are on, and some reflection from them. Camera is on road (low to the ground), aiming at the cars (front of cars), and scene. This day render, did some image editing in Corel Paint shop pro x9. Tried to get that retro (1973) image color. That is what I am into. Retro render images.

The 2.8 beta crashes on me, also destroys files. Will have to wait for the final release. Not much tutorials on 2.8. The interlace and also eevee. It is like I have to relearn blender (sorta). So, in the meantime using 2.79. I might have found a solution in road asphalt. Not my best, or what ever, but it is a start. Will post a tutorial (images). Here. will look at link. ☺

Oh yes, seen that tutorial (link). When eevee comes out (complete version), will be doing playing with that (rainy night scene). The image below, done last night. Not my best for texturing asphalt. But does okay for the struggles. Taking a break for a few days on this.

Check out cgbookcase.com, especially some of the newest textures which are asphalt/road related. CC0, so free to use. Also, cc0textures.com. Both are great sites for free CC0 PBR textures.
