ok.. having a huge problem with DS. my renders are as grainny as they get... when I get a simple prop to render it jumps from 0 to 95% readered and 10 secons later , render is done and grainny. I broke mu DS, Does anyone know how to fix this please?

all I can suggest without knowing more is to check the progressive rendering section and make sure max time or max samples haven't gotten set really low, and if all else fails turn the limits on min samples off and set it to like 1000 (overkill for simple renders probably).

other than that I could save out a full default render settings for you and we can see if maybe just resetting the whole thing helps?

Try checking your render settings. Especially this section:

If this doesn't help can you please post a screenshot and maybe a few more details.

In addition to lighting and sampling, resolution is your friend! I usually go for 2000x2000px minimum and downsample to the image size. It's not that different from working with pictures from a digital camera. The renderer has to calculate a color and value for each pixel in the image, and it works better when there are more pixels. Also, when you do get some grain in the larger image, downsampling helps eliminate the artifacts.

As long as you're here, Ilona, I'd also add that you do beautiful work :)
