I have managed, through trial and error to send some of my Poser figures to Blender 2.79 (I've been enjoying 2.80, btw). Doing transparency is another matter altogether. I wanted to try to send a Poser hair figure to Blender and put its textures w/ transparency. Been rattling my brain on what node I should use: I brought the transparency node, but I can't connect a color or image texture in it. Can someone figure this out?
Thanks,
JB

Going to give this a shot but still learning nodes myself but from looking at the set as it is currently your texture color should be plugged into the Diffuse BSDF the Alpha channel is fine plugged into the Transparent node in stead of a Mix RGB node ise a Mix shader node plug the diffuse into color 1 transparent into color 2 then the mix shader node into material output again this is suggestion hope it helps

Thanks MaNae. That just might do the trick. And, to Lobo3433, I appreciate that.

Since I couldn't edit my post...
UPDATE: Just as MaNae suggested and it was SUCCESSFUL! I really appreciate it. I'm just learning something every day. Blender is coming along a bit better with every version.
Cheers,
JB

I am glad to hear that MaNae suggestion worked nodes is still something I do not have a full grasp of so thansk for sharing your knowledge MaNae. I know Tony Vilters has some excellent Poser to Blender and back to Poser tutorials you might also find of some interest here is his channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiiFNpMB2ENEiUuctAUObmg

@jartz
btw.. do you know mcj's Teleblender-for-Poser? Combined with 3doutlaws Poser OBJ Export to Cycles script for Poser can it make some export/import-things a lot easier. ^^

`From what I last heard yes it can but there is a bit of fine tuning you have to go thru with the textures also not sure when the scripts were last updated I tried them once myself and following the guide on mcj's site and from outlaw worked well but again some fine tuning was still needed

Another way that I quite often used which depended on the quality of the trans map in poser was to convert it to png and then create an RGBA image in photoshop from it and use the use the alpha channel. I'm not sure why but this always seemed to give me a bit better control.
