Ah, I've found a viable Poser-native workaround, though not a fix. It's that Firefly renders can also be controlled by an official partner script.
Top Menu in Poser: Scripts, Partners, Dimension 3D - 'Render Firefly'.
At the foot of this Firefly rendering panel, there are the usual Auxiliary switches that are now missing on the standard Firefly settings panel. Since the auxiliary rendering features are still present, doing a Firefly render this way works fine - and saves a Photoshop file which has the expected extra layers.

Did Poser 11 users just loose the "Auxiliary render data" settings on Firefly renders, with the latest Poser update? It looks like it. Its dropdown is no longer on the settings panel in the latest Poser 11 Pro. I can no longer set a ToonID render to be produced by Firefly, not get other auxiliary render types.
Here's what the Poser Pro Reference manual says of this Pro feature, on page 540/541...
"Poser features additional options in the Render Settings dialog that allow you to specify additional information that can be output to a layered PSD file for further compositing in Photoshop. After you create your scene in Poser, you open the Render Settings dialog and check or uncheck the auxiliary render data options that you want to include in the Photoshop file. Then, you render your image and save it as a Photoshop PSD file. When you open your image in Photoshop you will see the full render as the Background layer. Each additional data option that you checked will appear on its own individual Photoshop layer."
I can still make a plain Firefly render and save it as a PSD, but I then tested this in Photoshop - and the extra render types are not being included in it automatically (instead of the user selecting them, as before, which I considered might be a new change in how Poser does things).
I then tried all the settings and switches on the Firefly render settings panel, including Auto. Nothing made the missing drop-down come back again. Previously it was 'just always there'.
However... if I render with my old custom preset that gave me only Toon Outlines + a Toon ID render layer, then I get the Toon ID layer in Photoshop (!) This means the feature is still working, but the drop-down for it in the render panel has vanished.
I can only think that the interface drop-down for this Poser 11 Pro feature got removed by accident, in the latest update patch?
