It has been an ongoing problem in poser pro 11 . What I do is, press the escape button on my keyboard ( ESC ) and continue. It has been reported numerous times but the problem still persist. Annoying but not enough to get me to switch.

I've never used poser 7, but if it's the same as later versions are you sure you are not accidently clicking the little circle next to the dial (after the up arrow next to the dial)? This brings up the window you are mentioning I believe.

If your mouse is old another possible reason could be the micro-switches have become worn and are sending out a double-click instead of the single click you intended. It might be worth adjusting the double-click speed in Windows or trying another mouse to see if it makes a difference.

Well I cleaned the whole computer and its register, and Remorphed alittle figures, what i use Victoria4.2- and saved them again to poser library (after removing old ones). And cleaned also new ones magnets with python script . That script is from Phil C if i do remember correct. Results; the symptom almost vanished totally- figures are working again as they should...hmm
Also I saved a new scene file inside posers runtime file and named that to untitled. I suspected also the mouse -its bit old and its drivers so I am planning to get new mouse and try that too.Odd thing is that whole thing started few month ago ... My comp is not inline .I have habit to get files from Renderosity and Sharecg ...I hope its not a some kind of bug...Poser has worked well before hmmm but if its a poser bug then support please...

I removed them with Rogue removal tool and abracadabra poser quit to do that thingie. As I said my comp is not online so bug has come from one of the file i got from either here or sharecg .So folks check your comps.but Ill investigate this further still ....and thanks for comments

Ive only had that happen no double clicks. Sounds like weirdness. I have definitely had a mouse go bad before where there must have been just enough gunk in there to cause the button to double click on single clicks. That mouse has since made its home in the trash.

I've had numerous weirdness issues since the last PP11 update that I can attribute to nothing other than either the update itself or a CPU/RAM malfunction. I suspect the former before the latter, but I can't prove it...
For the OP - What resolution are you running? Make sure you don't have any mouse-resolution mismatch issues by making sure your mouse driver is updated. Also, check your driver's settings for doubleclick behavior to make sure they're comfy. :) Poser's UI, in general, sometimes has some wonkiness in cramped spaces full of controls and trying to figure out where the mouse-pointer is... Poser's UI-Scaling feature might help with that. It might also help to delete your Poser pref/config file and let Poser regenerate it on the next start. (I've had the issue as well and it seems entirely due to Poser's UI and resolution/mismatch/mouse interpretation inaccuracies. Can't prove it, though... again.)
