Playing around. Made this from a couple of 2K, 2D (greeble) textures rendered from a program called Filter Forge. One texture drives (creates) the Terrain mesh and the other acts a regular image texture and bump.

Abstract piece? The roof of a Borg Building? Either way, having fun, just 'doodling'.

Nicely done! I've been using Filter Forge since version 1, and have always liked it.

This is interesting, as I wouldn't have thought of using Bryce to create something that looks like a building/structure, rather than a landscape, although I have done some abstracts with it.

Lol, thanks! Yeah, I love Filter Forge and have been playing with it since v2.0. It's a 2D image pattern/ texture generator but everthing I make with it my brain just starts trying to imagine what anything might look like as a Terrain, lol. Can't help myself!

Other than this render, I have been digging into some of Bryce's advanced capabilities that I had NEVER tried before and have some cool stuff to show once I get more descent looking renders to post up.

Bryce forever!

I'm thinking the one you posted here is very Geiger or perhaps Bladerunner.

It looks like a pyramid city in ancient Aztec time.

Yes! Now that you mention it, I can see that's what it looks like.

Very cool! As for those "texture synthesis" apps, do you also know about MapZone 2 (it was free version of toolkit that later became as Substance Designer product) and Werkkzeug 4 (it was all-in-one creation suit for demoscene makers, however texture/material creation subset of it is similar. also free now)?

I like. That is one cool terrain.

Fantastic as usual..

"Reinstall Windows" is NOT a troubleshooting step.

Very good! Goa'uld battlecruiser is what springs to my mind. I've never tried Filter Forge, mainly because I'm too miserly to buy Photoshop and I use the Gimp. But it looks good. Happy New Year (and a happy new decade) to all.
