Hi, Is it possible to take a picture of a face and make it a 3d rendering?

There is software available that can give you a close approximation to 2D image although you will need a front and side view photo. Even lighting with minimal shadow will give you an optimal setting for 3D modeling and rendering.

What's the name of that software?

CHK2033 posted the name, it's called FaceGen. I played around with an earlier version years ago and it does a very decent job of recreating photo likeness'. At the time, workflows for V4 were being developed; I just don't know how far they have gone to create models, or morph files, for other program platforms.
