I redownloaded VWD today to make sure I had the latest version since I just re-installed Poser. I can't get it to run correctly. I get 2error messages and I can't understand either for language barrier reasons. after the first error VWD pops up but does not show and actors to select. Pressing any button on it brings the 2nd error message. I think it is looking for a transfer folder but I can't find it anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Second error message

Hello Letterworks,
The two messages are system messages (messages not written by the program). It is for this reason they are both in French and in English.
Visibly, you have a folder issue. Could you tell me in what folder you installed VWD. If the installation folder is in PoserScripts, the full path is very long and can generate issues.
The best way for the installation is to create a folder close to the root : C:VWD or D:VWD. There will be a lot of access to this directory hierarchy and a long path can generate some errors.
When you say you redownloaded VWD, you want to say at Renderosity? If you use the Renderosity version, your version will be very old. The best way is to ask to Dan to integrate the Beta test and you will download the latest version.
With Dan, we do all what is possible to have the final V2 version, here at the Renderosity's market, for the end of september.
Personally, I will do some tests on Poser to see if I find some installation issues.

yes it is in the Poserscripts folder, I will try moving it closer to the root.

That's an odd path (in the second error) - must be a new Rendo installer (not Smith Micro). Makes for a long path.
Yeah, please try putting the main VWD folder closer to the root of any of your drives, and let us know if that helps.
And let me know if you'd like to try the new version - it's fully functional through September 2019 - available to all V1 owners. We pushed it out for users that got caught with the DS 4.11 update that broke the DS bridge.
cheers,

Hi fellows, yes poser was installed to a non-standard path. Moving the program to the root has is now working. I will site mail you VWD_dan and try to arrange a beta test, thank you.

Good news that it's working for you. I prefer to not have such packages in my drive's root folders, but that's a challenge for another day. Mine is there too and it works, so I'll ignore my OCD...
I've PM'd you with the beta details, and mentioned that Poser users can have both versions (V1 and V2beta) available on a system at the same time.
FWIW, if any other V1 users would like to play with the V2 beta, just PM Gerald or me with an email address and we'll get you a copy.
be well,
