...everything went fine except that now Dimension 3D's XL - Content Library script no longer works. That's bad because I've been using it instead of Poser's default library for years and I don't want to go back. I've got a message into D3D and will see if he can fix it.

D3D unfortunately passed away a few years ago. Try putting in a ticket with Renderosity and see if they can find the problem and fix it.

Also, EZskin 2 no longer works. Doesn't like the new Poser's build number. Gives the error message, "EZSkin requires build 21462 or later. You have build 272. This script does not work with your version of Poser."

EZskin 3 does work, but version 3 leaves a lot to be desired compared to version 2, especially in the effects department.

EZSkin 3 is a later build. You may have more luck with that one. Are you using the right files?

I installed this last night along with the new content, however, I don't see Dawn, Dusk, or the new horse. La Feme is there a bunch of other new stuff, but not Dawn, Dusk, or the Horse. ????

Glitterati3D posted Thu, 19 September 2019 at 6:52 AM

Reinstall your python scripts. That should fix any issues you might have.

RobZhena posted Thu, 19 September 2019 at 6:57 AM

Jenn Blake confirmed that D3D’s scripts don’t work because of a reference to Poser version number and other unstated issues. Bondware is looking at the scripts, but somebody else owns them. I filed a ticket on it many weeks ago, and Bondware is well aware of the issue.

As to the Hivewire content, it’s available now.

You did not download the final version, then. All the Hivewire content is available on the server now.

I would suggest you re-download the official program build as well.

By the way, I renamed my old Poser 11 folder Poser 11.1 before I installed the early adopters version. I changed my license for the SM copy at the SM website to permanent, so I can run the D3D scripts in that version when I need to.

smallspace posted Thu, 19 September 2019 at 7:02 AM

The EZSkin 3 is V 089. Don't know what version EZSkin 2 is because I can't load it!

smallspace posted Thu, 19 September 2019 at 7:15 AM

If bondware would just release the next version of Poser as 11.2.462 or higher that would fix the EZSkin 2 problem.

You can't! All versions from Poser Pro 2014Game Dev and up will have to upgrade or else it will stop working as it says in all the emails from Rendo. Once you have the official 11.2 installed then you can set it to permanent.

Go here, sign in and you have to option to make your license permanent, which means you won't have to connect to the internet to activate it again.

It worked for me. I'd do it now/now/now because the SM license servers are supposed to stop working today, I believe.

quietrob posted Thu, 19 September 2019 at 9:09 AM

Bondware cant make our licenses permanent?

This doesn't make sense.

And now I'm reading that the scripts that most of use no longer work?

I am sorry but things seems a long way from fine. What do we do with our Poser 9? Will that no longer work? People are rolling back to 11.1, we are still going back to S/M to make our licenses permanent?

Did the downloads that I did yesterday have any meaning? Do people like me with slow connections have to go through that again?

Renderosity Bondware. What should we do?

jennblake posted Thu, 19 September 2019 at 9:09 AM

That permanent activation will no longer hold true. It may for a bit...but not indefinitely. You will at some point have to install the update...and that permanent licenses will cease to work also. You will need to submit a support ticket with us for us to then reset that for you on the new license server. 😄

RobZhena posted Thu, 19 September 2019 at 9:11 AM

By the way, I will use the Bondware version close to all the time because it is much better!

jennblake posted Thu, 19 September 2019 at 9:13 AM

quietrob posted Thu, 19 September 2019 at 9:28 AM

Re: Licenses being made permanent. I suppose I will do that. I am still quite confused though. I always thought we had a permanent license.

Also, I downloaded a lot of things yesterday. Should I download them again, today?

Those are there now. Click on Download Additional Content Files (License required), plug in your serial number for P11 and all the files will show up including the 6 HiveWire zips (Rendo combined a bunch of the products for the Poser download, so most of the zips will have the original HW zips inside of them)

I Would suggest that you go to C:-ProgramData-Poser-11 make a backup of this folder then delete it this causes to reset your activation just as if would be the first time. naturally hoping that they kept the same licence path

I had this issue a few times when building models in the Setup room and deleated wrong bones in the hierarchy it caused crashes that corrupted my licence files... it gave me the same error but after removing the folder i was able to reactivate the licence.

with a little hope this might work for you

No - the core problem is that Bondware have changed the version number format of Poser, and reset the build numbering to 1. It used to be something like 11.1.0.35540, i.e four elements with the build number being the fourth one. Many scripts look for the build number to check for the availability of certain features. The new version is reported as 11.2 .272, i.e. only three elements, and a much lower build number. When a D3D script looks for the fourth element, it crashes. Even if it found it, it would decide that the Poser version was too old anyway. The fact that the reported version also has a space in the middle of it doesn't help either :)
