Hey folks
just what the title says. I downloaded the installer and ran it and it just blinks and nothing happens. My old version of Poser still works too. Still running 11.0.7.33999

Sounds like a possible corrupted download? It should do much more than blink.
Try downloading again AFTER deleting the current files please.

There have been some problems with installers not completely downloading, issues with format. I would download again. It should begin installation by asking to unload previous version.

You mean delete my current Poser Pro 11 or the runtime or both? all my runtimes are on a different HD.

She meant to delete the downloads and try again not PP11.
Edit: What is the current build? I just noticed new Poser install and support files dated 9/23/2019.

Ohhh, thanks for the heads-up, as I hadn't checked in a couple of days. I have version 11.2.272, which is what I downloaded on the 19th. Not sure what's different about the available download dated today. I think I'll wait, as I don't want to have to go through downloading, and installing, everything again. Then again, I didn't check the content downloads, so those might not be newer, though some certainly needed to be redone.

@ghostship2 - 11.0.7.33999 was my old version as well, and I had no problem installing. That said, however, I'm still on Win7Pro, and if you're on Win10, that may be the issue.

gotta be more people upgrading on W10 than just me. I deleted the download from the other day and I'll cross my fingers.

Sorry, my Win10 PoserPro 11 upgrade was literally seamless. I really suspect there are a lot more users then post here, if my own lurking for 10 years is any indicator...The download servers right now are totally swamped as the US populace headed home from work and attempts to do it again, I reckon. I hope they get to all support tickets eventually.

I had an incomplete download recently so worth checking the file size against what the download page says it should be. Also on Win10, have d/l and installed many beta versions so far, only had a few issues ;)

I found that if you are installing over 11.1 it doesn't force an un-install, but over 11.2 it does.

Interesting. I had 11.1, chose Use existing preferences and like @Rhia474, everything went smoothly. Just note that you'll find the updated version in Program Files/Smith Micro/ Poser 11.

Most of the folks who have mentioned the Smith Micro folder have their Poser software installed in C:Program Files, so I'm assuming that's where you have yours installed as well.
Ever since moving up from WindowsXP to Windows7, I install ALL my software in two folders at the root of my hard drive. In other words, C:2D Applications, and C:3D Applications, so I don't have that Smith Micro folder, and I can install content where I want it, and not in the C:>Users>username>Documents folder.
