I purchased a gift certificate (GC) with the intention of given it to another Rendeorsity member, but they can't use it.
They get a "Sorry, that gift certificate does not belong to you."
I decided to add another GC to my cart and went to checkout and I don't see an option for recipient.
Is there a way for me to get this GC to the intended recipient?

When you go to the Gift Certificate page click the Gift this item button just below the add to cart button. it will ask you for the member name to gift it to, and then a message. A message of some sort is required. Then submit.

I am trying to understand.
I already purchased the GC. I can see it under Gift Certificates but I can't gift it from there.
If I go to purchase a new one I now noticed the Yellow button that says "Gift this item". So I assume this is what you meant and is the only way to gift an item?

No. I had to purchase a new one using the yellow "Gift this item" button on the Gift Certificate's product page.
I don't see a way to gift the one I had already purchased. I will just use it for my next purchase.
