Greetings !
Recently migrated (forced migration actually since Poser 2014 went wonky when I tried downloading/installing upgrade patches). Though worried the same would happen with Poser 11 when I did the Renderosity upgrade to it so far (except for a floating window problem which drives me nuts) all is calm. What I am trying to figure out is how to migrate, morphs and adjusted morphs from a custom morphed V4++ figure I created to a more blank character/figure with basic morphs I purchased at DAZ without having to go through and adding individual adjustment morphs separately. I recall it was a function available a while back I read about just do not recall where I saw it. In an older version of Poser there was an app called Morph Manager I used to use all the time to transfer/add morphs from say V2 to V2PT figures or from V@ to V2 figures. Since I upgraded computer OS and Poser versions that app sort of fell into obscurituy and am sure it no longer works in current OS and hardware.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks to all in advance.

Morph Manager still works under current OS. However, in Poser 11 you can transfer morphs from one figure to a similar mesh figure going through the Taskbar menu Figure>Copy Morphs From... . Make certain that both figures are in the same scene, select the figure you want to transfer morphs to, run the feature and select which morphs you want to copy.

Good to know this. Wondering if Meipei's "PERFECT" Body morphs will also transfer since the V4 figure has to be prepared first somehow(of course not knowing how to do that I begged Meipei to prep a V4 figure with his starter prep setup when I bought the morph sets...which he kindly did for me! or with transferring body adjust morphs to another customized morphed figure like Karina's Sixteen weight mapped figures also based on V4)? Can the target donor figure be deleted from the stage once the morphs arr transferred and the complete morphed figure be saved in library to be used later?

Yes. You can do whatever you like with the finished product. Saving the final version will preserve the morphs.

Here is a perfect examine of morph copying from one figure to another. In the image is a V4.2 to V3 figure, quite capable of accepting V4 face morphs and textures but unable to accept direct morph injections from either V3 or V4. Typical V4 head, V3 body. A figure you can dress in V3 clothing.

Now, I load a V3 Figure fully loaded with her injected morphs side by side with the V4.2 to V3 figure. Body type is generic at the moment.

I go ahead and copy the 2 Muscular morphs from V3 to V4.2 to V3 figure and put in the identical numbers for both figures. Voila! A morphed V3 body with a V4 head morph perfectly able to conform with V3 clothing.

I thought you said earlier the transfer had to be from two like meshes? V3 and V4 aren't like meshes. so how does it work? I did write i transferred morphs from V2 to V2PT through Morph Manager the ONLY way I could get V2PT to accept body change morphs for V2. This work the same way? If I remember V2PT had similar mesh construct as V2 that was why I thought it actually worked?!

So....there is a V4.2 to V3 figure available somewhere whose mesh is set up for this kine of transferring or was this what you got mixing the morphs with Morph managing/transferring?

You are correct, the V4.2 to V3 figure is a V3 body mesh. The V2 morph transfer to V2PT should work because they are similar body mesh.

I am sorry I still seem to be missing something please be patient.... -You start with V3 and V4.2. -You transfer morphs from V4.2 figure to the V3 figure -You wind up with both in one figure Or did you mean you are working with a preexisting V4.2 to V3 base figure (sort of like a low res V4.2, and moving V3 morphs to it which means the V4.2 to V3 Hybrid needs to be receiving the V3 morphs.

hborre is talking about the V4-V3 figure (cr2) that is included in this: https://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-2-shapes

Wow. well THAT's a thing to know. So does this mean I can buy all those V3 clothes now and have a V4 head and morphs on that body?!
hborre posted Thu, 24 October 2019 at 11:57 AM
Yep. Convenient.

never used this figure...heck i didn't even know I had it until now and i have been using V4 since its release. Now gotta find it but not too interested in anything V3.....yet! So not sure how this will help me now with what i needed to do.

Always an alternative when you want something different.

Remember that you can only V4 head morphs on that figure and the V3 morphs on the body after transferring them. There is not much on the freebie wiki for V3, because it was started long after her time, but if you would like to look: https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/Victoria_3
