Anyone know how the toon-style renders used in the Anime Girl and Anime Boy promo pics were achieved? They're used as library thumbnails for the product, as well in the promos on the product page.

(If the link doesn't stick, it's preview 4 of 7 on the Anime Girl For LaFemme page.)

Special shaders, render settings, postwork?

It uses the toon node in the Material Room - Lighting:Diffuse:Toon. Works in both Firefly and Superfly but I'd stick with just simple lights and Firefly render. You can add this node your alternate Diffuse and hook it up to the texture map for clothing as well to achieve this "illustration" look. It's the same setup that was used with NearMe if you're familiar with this model.

You can quickly add it in the material room if you click on "Set Up Toon Render" on the right.

Thanks! I have NearMe. I really like her look, especially the cartoon version.

Cute!

I'm wishing I'd bought more of NearMe's stuff when it was available. I just wasn't that into toon stuff back then.
