If that's pathetic then I am a worm! Really one of the most stunning things I've seen. I cannot make your boots. I'm not even fit to kiss them!

And just a thought. Why not go for a pair of unlaced combat boots with a scuffed up texture - they look great and it might be easier to do with magnets than modelling buckles from scratch.

I like her. Much better with the shorts, too. Maybe you could just add the buckles on the texture map for the p4 boots. Like, use blade Pro to make them shiney...put them on layers until you get them layed out exactly how you want. Should not be hard to do the buckles...just do a cube to start. Cut out from there. Then, maybe a very small cylinder for the middle thingey. OH, shoot, my outside spotlight went out...Scarey. Good luck. Pop...Pop...Pop ;) And, happy Mother's Day if it applies.

Oh, another thought. If you have anything like PSP that will do vector graphics, you could just make them in that and add to the texture of the boots...Much easier.

;( I really dont like taking shortcuts. Like with the straps on her legs, it would have been so much easier just to paint them on her texture but i made them a clothing item instead. So rather than paint them on a texture I want to create them on the boot itself. The boots she is wearing are the boots that I cant get permission to use. If I use the standard poser boots they are way too thin and dressy. I need something bulky and rough, like combat boots. I like the unzipped combat boot idea with draggy laces, or a bulky goth style boot with wide straps/buckes around the ankle and calf. Ah well. I'm working my way through the 3DSMax 4 tutorials, I'll figure it out eventually. I'm a pretty fast learner. Just that I'm under pressure from some people here (and I wont mention any names Nikita) to release them already. :) Thanks for the quick responses... Cheers -broken

I forgot your first thread. Are you going to sell her? Where, again, did you get the boots? Someone here must, must know that person who made the boots in the first place. Good luck.

Nope, shes going in the free stuff section. As for the boots, I've sent an email to the creator and I havent gotten a response. Ah well, I'll be happier if I model the boots myself because then the entire figure will be created by me and I wont have to worry about permissions or copyrights.

It feels good to do things yourself. Feel free to ask me stuff...but I am not the greatest modeller here. I try and have learned alot, too.

What do the buckles look like? I might be able to model them depending on complexity.

Ill do some 2D sketches of the boots I was thinking of, and maybe someone can have a go at making them. If not I'll eventually figure out how to make them myself.
