Just because Superfly is the latest and greatest doesn't mean we don't love Firefly - here's the place to show off all those wonderful renders using the Firefly render engine!

Thanks for these threads Kalypso. We had threads like these on the old SM Poser forum, and they were always greatly populated with some great renders, and I, for one, have missed them.

@Miss B Thanks Miss B - I, too, enjoyed those threads and was always more inspired to do renders myself.
@darknewt very atmospheric scene, the fog/mist really adds to it.

What a great set of renders and what better way to show off a render engine than to show the results it is capable of in such skilled hands. (I do not include mine).
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

Remember that Area Lights do work in Firefly.
SeanMartin posted Fri, 28 February 2020 at 11:27 AM
Lotsa old stuff in here, including the incredibly ancient Dragon Rider (anyone else remember that?), who's been rebuilt, re-proportioned, and re-textured. Two passes in Firefly, for different lighting, then composited.

Have I ever mentioned I love werewolves? Cause I love werewolves....
Old scene I put together back in 2012. Werewolves are Genesis made Poser native with a RIDICULOUS amount of Dynamic hair.

Scene from issue 10 of my webcomic. Totally out of context, I just really like the way it turned out. Sasha 16 bends like a dream....

Firefly is an amazing engine capable of far more than people seem to think nowadays, just look at the work of Erogenisis.
Adompha posted Mon, 07 September 2020 at 2:51 PM
It is capable of creating realistic images as well as artistic ones.
