Yup! I've been gone and actually missed by a couple of folks. I defeated fear as I had a fear of not waking up from going under. I underwent surgery and in the end I repaired my hernia just in time. I'm still on the mend a month later. Most of the pain is gone and only really hurts if I sneeze. The area is STILL numb.

The strangest part was talking to the nurses and assistants (It is sexist to say the nurses were very pretty? I hope so) as they asked me if I preferred the beach or the mountains. I said Beach. Definitely the beach and the next thing I know I'm coming to and my doctor telling me, "We're all done." I had planned to wake up halfway through the surgery, demand the scapel and finish the job myself but that didn't happen. I am now part cyborg. Not as big a cyborg as Sam Therapy, but on my way to becoming a first model Terminator. Some type of bulletproof polymesh is now inside me and I hope it means I'll get an extra wanding at airports.

Recovery consisted of watching a lot of youtube and wishing my dearest love was in this mortal veil to take care of me. I loved the way she used to bitch me out for getting sick or injured but the love I'd get during the recovery was something special. Now while I wouldn't recommend surgery as fun for anyone except rokket (He's a badass. He'd just say no anesthesia. Get to work and he'd keep modeling during the operation), Please get taken care of. Don't end up like Steve Jobs. Be a woman and see your doctor. (Men don't. We just shrug it off. Women are smarter. They don't mess around. No doubt about it.) You will recover and only be mad that you missed a sale.

You all take care of yourselves. I could use a hug.
