Is there any way to prevent Poser Pro 11.3 from adding the Purchases folder to the Library?
This is highly annoying, for myself at least, since I do not use Download Managers and the like, and have my library set up the way I want it.

I haven't installed 11.3 yet, but this sounds like the old Content tab/window I encountered back with Poser 5, and I hated it then so I'm sure I'll hate this too.
I also manually download and install so I can get my content installed where "I" want it.

Exactly. I am super picky, I'd even go as far as to say highly OCD about my folders and files etc. So this is really going to drive me insane if we can't remove/hide it. I already tried deleting it out of the Windows file manager, but it just comes back when you restart Poser. And there is no way to remove it from the Poser library either as far as I could tell. Not cool. Not cool at all.

edit the LibraryPrefs.xml in your C:/Users/(usernamehere)/AppData/Roaming/Poser Pro/11 remove the purchases bit and save the file. Then set it to its attributes to read only. As long as it is set to read only, it won't be added.
Of course if you want to add another runtime to your library later, you'll have to remove the read only attribute, but then poser will add the purchases bit back to it again.

Consider me insane if you wish, but is your reality any better?

The intent was to make the experience of purchasing and installing content for new users less, well less Poser like. Less mysterious. For folks that are new to installing content the way we're all used to may seem like juggling chain saws or something.
We didn't think if it getting in the way of our experienced users. I've probably installed a million zips of content over the years. It's like nerve memory now. But, It's kind of nice to just click the [doit] button be done. Maybe next round we can add some more user controls.

That's an awesome idea, except I am adding and removing stuff on a daily basis. LOL!! Thanks for the thought tho.

Well don't forget us experienced users though! lol At least add an option to Hide in settings, or remove it outright from the Library. I think 99.9% of us experienced users would appreciate that. :-)
