Had a phone consultation a few minutes ago, regarding my prostate cancer. Not fantastic news but not the worst. PSA levels are climbing but not yet at the stage where I need to start writing my will; they're 11.2 at the moment. If they hit 15 it's time for a bone scan and who knows what else?
Normally my tests and follow ups are 3 months apart but, due to the whole COVID-19 lark, me next one is in 6 months. Wish me luck.

Good luck, ST. It sucks when routine medical exams and followups take a backseat to this pandemic.

Boni, my good friend... many, many thanks. I am sure this is just a little bump in the road and I'll be a major pain in the arse around here for a long time.
Anyhow, there's a serious Dalek shortage, so I need to stick around.

Hey Sam been there... 12 yrs ago. Got some kind of "glow in the dark" pill injected you know where.....Had to wear lead drawers for a while.. haha Im still kicking and a newlywed at 73. You Got my prayers

what is more important one person's life or many fools that refuse to protect themselves and other people from the virus. I think the one person's life is just as important as anyone

Thank you all. It's a "Damned if yer do, damned if yer don't" situation here. All non urgent treatments - which includes cancer if it's not putting the patient in immediate danger - are cancelled. Even so, I'm at serious risk from COVID-19, due to other factors, so a hospital visit, even if treatment was available, is a bit like Russian Roulette.

I was notified that my half brother has an extremely low platelet count and low other blood cells . he has had cancer twice with the last one being very serious. they said he was free of cancer, but the experts makes mistakes like anyone. he is in his 80's. luckily for him his girlfriend is a nurse
