I've been looking at the additional content page that is supposed to be with Poser 11 and the Kayla Hair For V4 posted on the page is not included in the additional content downloads that are available.
It is also not include with the poser 11 installers / support files.
Is it supposed to be included?

Consider me insane if you wish, but is your reality any better?

I just downloaded everything this morning and I don't see it on my system, either. There are also a few legacy items that I can't seem to find.

I just went through that list of contents and I found 2 items not present in either Legacy or Common section: the Kayla Hair and the Oriental Fantasy Hair which is supposed to be Photoshop files. There is another item on the website that has not linked; I assume it was removed from the Poser content but never updated on the list. Someone should QC both the files and site listing for accuracy. Not fair to mention a specific content included as a freebie and not deliver. And trying to update the Legacy and Common files to include what's missing is a royal pain for both the programmers and users wanting to complete the downloads.

Those products were not supposed to be included (Kayla Hair and Oriental Fantasy Hair) and have been removed from the article. I apologize for any confusion.
@PenelopeFlynn could you tell me what Legacy items are missing for you?

Thank you for the response and clarification.

I installed the latest version of Poser 11.3.813 and it won't load the Paul, Pauline, Rex and Sydney characters. It looks for their .obj files and can't find them. Is anyone else having this problem? These people used to work. I have uninstalled this version and installed the previous version and now it doesn't work either. Most frustrating. The last thing I tried was downloading the latest install file again thinking it may have gotten corrupted. Went through downloading and just reinstalled it. Still the same problem. I have no idea what to do about this. Luckily, I don't use these people too often but I do like to have a complete and working program. Very frustrating development!

I also had these problems in the previous update to 11.3.740, the problems were caused by missing a lot of .obz files. Fortunately, I had made a backup for the update to an external hard drive, but it took me days to get everything working properly again. Now I get a message that there is a new version but I don't dare to install the update now. See the link

Instead of all this hassle of trying to find obz files, will Renderosity create a fix so that these characters are usable again in the latest 11.3?? version(s) of Poser? I am afraid the only way I could get these files now is to uninstall Poser 11.3 and reinstall my first version of poser 11.2??

I also just installed the latest 11.3.813. I first did an uninstall by running the uninstall.exe from the current Poser folder. On reinstall, I left the option checked to install the Support files so it did that. I did not have to run the PoserSupport.exe file separately although I did download it and it was in the same folder as the Install Poser 11.exe file when I ran it. I then uncompressed all the content files I downloaded with the latest install. I uncompressed all those content files into separate folders under a parent folder I called PoserRuntimes. In Poser, I added this folder to the library 05_LegacyContent_Poser-Nudes. I am able to add figures like Paul and Pauline to a scene.

I really appreciate this information. I have been downloading the legacy files and have found some of the missing files there. Hopefully they all will be there after I finish downloading all the legacy works.

Just a couple more thoughts while they are fresh. I backed up my preferences before I did the uninstall / reinstall. I also selected the option to remove existing preference files, as recommended in the message above that option. The reason is because I was changing the location of my "Poser 11 Content" folder. I changed it from the root of E: drive to a subfolder - E:\PoserRuntimes\Poser11Content. Notice I removed the spaces between the words. I do that out of habit when I name folders since embedded spaces require special handling in a lot of apps.

I backed up the preferences myself by copying this folder: C:\Users[user name]\AppData\Roaming\Poser Pro\11 user name is whatever your user name is on your system. I'm running on a Windows machine. When testing if the necessary files are in the runtimes, I turned off the search for files option in preferences:

In the file system, this is what my folders look like now:
And the library in Poser:

After downloading all the legacy files, I have been able to get the characters to work. Not perfectly. I have do search for the files but now I can find them by searching in the legacy section. These updates aren't always what they are cracked up to be. Don't think I will ever be doing any more. Probably won't be any more anyway with Poser 12 in the works.

I have been working out a procedure that I do for the upgrades and to maintain my local runtimes. I know there are tools that are Poser aware that will help manage content but right now I am just using something I am familiar with. I'm running on Windows 10. I use a file and folder compare tool called WinMerge. I install Poser and the content runtimes into new folders. Then I do a folder compare and bring forward any content from prior runtimes that I want to keep. This also allows me to see what changes were made, which files were added by the recent updates.
