Evidently, according to the information? IDK, Misty. Seems strange, but that's how it goes.

For me, its highly detailed scenes/props at reasonable prices. Here at Renderosity, good examples are the product offerings from London224, mostly for Poser and Vue (I have 30+). Another example is Coflek-Gnorg, I have 129 of his (hers?). Beyond Renderosity, a great example is Luigi Marini's Vue scenes, now at CGTrader since Cornucopia3D is dead. His typical price is $12 for vast and detailed scenes, often on sale also. And he is very responsive to questions.

The original post is specific in response to current Renderosity marketplace best sellers. A vendor has a bundle of 350 V4 poses and that is currently at or near the top of the bestseller list. But it's not necessarily indicative of what makes a best-seller. It's on sale and there is a coupon out. That vendor advertises constantly and surely has a following. It seems V4 is not nearly as dead as some people think. It seems odd that product would be a top bestseller, but it's not really surprising.

Actually, forget all that. I think the product was just an ad. The actual top bestseller is a G8 product.

bumms was ready to re embrace v4.

it takes a few steps of work to get the g8f morphs working in carrara cuz of the toe verts missing from the morph group. i even tried a support ticket over there. Doesnt seem to be a way to correct those missing verts with a modifier in a preset.

Promo image, especially the thumbnail image is key. If the thumbnail can get us to click on it it has a chance to sell. If it doesn't... well... it doesn't. But once clicked on, the promo images and descriptions must 'sell' the product. In the case of coflek-gnorg - he can really render. But that's not all. He also spices up the images into art that we really like to click on.

Quality is key. Second is only selling stuff that is in the highest demand. This means stuff for the latest and greatest figures. If your products are environments, then see again quality. Lastly, advertise. Announce your products in social media, on forums, and get the word out. Hopefully you have a big social media following, because that seems to help some people get the word out on new stuff. If not, just get your ads out there somehow.
