As some might have already divined, I'm a bit of a Bagginsbill groupie... particularly back in the day, in Poser. His approach to node development involved math, and Python. Certainly not everyone's cup of tea, certainly. But his results were impressive. Well, I think I may have found Blender's "Bagginsbill"... similar approach to nodes, quick-witted, doesn't come up for air once he's head-down/bum-up stuck into putting shaders together. I'd be starting with his knit shader first.
