Hello All, Just wanted to let you know before the public announcement goes out tomorrow morning, that after much toil and trouble, we've finally released the first Pro Pack updater known as Service Release 1. Among many fixes and updates, this release also includes support for 3D Studio Max R4. Thanks to all for the discussions and feedback in recent weeks. You may have noticed my absence on the forum. We were busy trying to put this together, and now that it's available for download, you can expect my continued presence and support. We're extremely excited about this and hope that you'll take the time to download and update from http://www.curiouslabs.com/products/proPack/html/proPackServiceRelease.html We're off to celebrate! Thanks again for your continued support. **************************** Steve Yatson Product Manager Curious Labs Http://www.curiouslabs.com ****************************Fox-Mulder posted Mon, 14 May 2001 at 10:49 PM

Thanks for the heads up! Was able to swoop in and get both the Mac updater and the revised manual. Thanks to your whole terrific team. And tell Anthony that at first glance the manual looks great. The little "new" labels are a nice touch. Can't wait to get updater installed.

Please be specific or send any questions to me. I'd like to help but really, this type of post does nothing to help anyone. **************************** Steve Yatson Product Manager Curious Labs Http://www.curiouslabs.com ****************************

Sorry about the vageness, Steve and was probably a premature post. Some of the initial "problems" I had were "fixed" once I re-saved the file from Poser. This is something hadn't seen mentioned as necessary. The one thing that has not worked at all is import of the male genitals. I know it was said this was not an easy fix after the original release of PPP, but I did expect it would be handled in the service pack. Has this been put on the back burner? Another problem that seems to have survived, but to a lesser degree it appears, is the rotation of the figures when coming into Max. Occasionally the figures are not rotated to match Max's axis orientation. Usually, re-importing the file will do it right. It's always seemed a random thing like this.

Hey, It seems we have a fix for the swappable geometry. It's in testing now and I'll let you know as soon as the plugins are available, Max and LW will both be updated. On the issue of the "random" rotation, we are looking into it but no word yet. Thanks again for letting us know. **************************** Steve Yatson Product Manager Curious Labs Http://www.curiouslabs.com ****************************
