Just as the subject line states. Wondering if I can save out just a layer.
So say you want to create an eyeliner in a new layer and want the user to have the option to apply that or have a REM file to remove it. I see no way to do that in Poser with the current save to library options.
Thanks for the help!

select your material - select the layer - select all the nodes on that layer
then save the material with the following setting.

Hi, Thank you. BUT I was referring to the LAYER option in the Material room. Is there way to just save that Layer or do I have to say save the Head Map to have the Layer_1 saved with it or does it even save?

that is for the layer option in the material room.
afaik it is the only way to save a layer out without a script.

I have not been able to save layer 1 or higher as separate material shaders. Only Layer 0 gets saved. You need to re-create the Layer 1 shader as a layer 0 on some other geometry (like a primitive pp2), then manually create a layer 1 on the target material zone and then copy the shader over from the primitive pp2.
This is a very clumsy shortcoming of the existing material room.
