I thought this would be interesting to some. This is a relatively low poly disco ball model with 4k PBR texture maps and a Principled shader in Blender 2.83.6. A glare node was added in the compositor to provide extra sparkles. The interesting thing is how well Eevee handles volumetric lights.

Eevee is especially efficient with Volumetric lighting compared to Cycles. This was rendered at 2k resolutions, 60 FPS on a RTX 2070 gpu. Each frame only took 10 seconds. If I switch to Cycles, this same scene takes almost 3 minutes per frame, and the results are only marginally better. In fact, the volumetrics create so much noise in the Cycles render, denoising doesn't help too much. There's almost no noticeable noise at all in Eevee, even at a mere 32 samples.
