I've been able to play audio CDs and movies, can't install programs except for old Paint Shop Pro 7. No idea why the exception. I had a hard drive crash, had to buy a new computer. Backed up all my Poser Data, but can't re-install software on this machine. It's baffled by sofware CDs. Tried buying an expensive external drive with Blu Ray capabilities (won't play blue ray either. Another story) Dell Inspiron 3880 desk top, Windows 10 This is weird. Since 1995 I've never had a computer that did this. render what I got.jpg

If you have access to another computer, try copying the installer files from the CD to a flash drive. Then use the flash drive to transfer the P10 installers to the new computer.

Poser 12, in feet.

OSes:  Win7Prox64, Win7Ultx64

Silo Pro 2.5.6 64bit, Vue Infinite 2014.7, Genetica 4.0 Studio, UV Mapper Pro, UV Layout Pro, PhotoImpact X3, GIF Animator 5

You can download Poser 10 and its service releases here:

You'll need your serial number to install. Then you'll have to do something about Flash. (See the thread stickied at the top of this forum.)

Thanks seachnasaigh and randym77. Those are both good ideas. Too bad my computer turned out to be such a klunk with its ridiculous dvd problem.

It looks like you solved your problem...
