Punctuation marks get translated into coded forms making them unintelligible. If documentation exists I can't find it. Been posting here for years. TIred of messed up titles.

Must be deleting "w" also. :)

Hi mazzam, that is a gorgeous pic, my friend.

But I am using the apostrophe and it is getting converted into that coded mess. Only happens in the title not the text. My browser is Mac Safari.

Try "Edit Image" and copy & paste this in for your title:

Why Won’t My Keyboard Type an Apostrophe?
The apostrophe issue is most likely due to the keyboard settings on your computer's operating system.
The keyboard on your OS needs to be set at US Standard and not US International.
On Mac, go to system preferences and click on Keyboard. There, go to Input Sources
Scroll to languages and click on languages and input settings.
Check the language you are using is the one you want (English).
On the right make sure the Input Method is US keyboard (standard) and not US International.

Your version worked fine. Input method US isn't named but has US flag icon. Hope that is the right choice.

FYI Using iPad Safari. Changed the keyboard from English International to English U.S. and still get codes in title when using the apostrophe. Too bad. ?

On iPhone or iPad the same key executes the different, curvy apostrophe. To get the regular apostrophe: Settings app > General > Keyboards > disable "Smart Punctuation"
