That Material room feature sounds exciting. Will futz with it later when my covid shot fatigue dissipates.

I'll say. I got used to drag and drop with the External Library, so being able to use it in the Material Room will definitely be a plus.

Actually nothing really new the drag and drop in the material room , was already a feature in P11 not Replacing but making a new Node but if you ever used one of the Pyton Advanced material rooms then you should know it was a common thing to place or replace your maps using drag and drop in existing nodes . Pity that these will not work with P12 :) but integrating it into Poser 12 it at least will make it possible again.

Replacing across all the materials at once is awesome though.
This is quite a big update (actually looks like several updates at once). Have to check if my CUDA errors are solved. I'm also curious whether #987 means you no longer have to remove all the ambient occlusion nodes to get a successful render in SuperFly. Sometimes it was a challenge to track them all down.

So where is the update? I still have 12.0.427 and when I click on "update now" in preferences it says I'm up to date.

I had to manually download from posersoftware dot com. The date on it is 4-7-21. The in app updates usually show up a day or two late.

I always manually download the Installer, and the appropriate Release Notes.

Yup, me too. I am glad the release dates are posted here by the admin so I don't have to wait.

I have other issues with the Material Room. Nothing changed there that i can see. Are compound materials easier to create? Do the nodes still hop around like mexican jumping beans when you try to make a compound node or want to make changes in one? I can see you're trying, but I'm just not sold on Poser 12 yet. It may be the first time I've skipped a version since Poser 5.

Where is the "replace all" button? I honestly don't see it as I was trying to see how this feature works.

Got it all worked out ... just me being "unthinking".

It's not super clear the first time, but after clicking Replace All at the bottom of the dialog where you pick your texture, you have to change the setting from Material (which presumably only replaces within the material you are working on) to Object or Scene (presumably replacing the texture for all materials in either the object or the scene). Pretty cool, that has already saved me time.
My CUDA errors did get solved, so that's nice too.
