I have all the wespons i could ever need for a Traditional 15th Century Samurai (except the Yumi - that type of bow is really hard to find!) Some time back someone mentioned a Samurai figure, but I have never seen one. I need armour and traditional Kimono and Hakama.. those of you who might have a lead can either post or email me. PS- Traveler has a great top-knot on his site that witha little tweeking works great for a Samurai and LordsWarrior's site still has some of the best weapons I have ever seen!

I have forgoton almost all of the names by now, is that the tall Bow that has the two archs, one long , one short? If it is I can make one after I finish with what I'm working on. -Gabe-

That's it. The grip is one third up from the bottom and is has a very gentle curve. It (as a rule) is 6' in length when strung and after firing the string apears almost loose. I will try to find and scan a pic for you.

All Good, when you get it send it to: gsalas@monad.net In the meantime I'll look through my books in the basement for a good shot of one. -Gabe-

I think Thoth did some samurai armour and a helmet a while back and it was on funstuff. Though I don't know whether or not it is still available. If they aren't I can check through what I have and see whether or not I still have it...which I'm pretty sure I do being the hoarder that I am :) Eshal

All I have are line drawings and my own sketches (the museums I visited wouldn't allow flash photography). I am still looking. Eshal - I promise never to speak to you in public (nicest thing I can offer right now) if you can find them.

It seems the whole world is looking for Samurai kit, I would be interested in any you find as well. I am an absolute beginner in this field, and have about as much artistic skill as a water buffalo, but I will help any way I can NickT

For all you ever wanted to know and more...The attached link is to the Asian Traditional Archery Resource Network. Photos of Yumi are there, along with any other type of "asiatic" bow you could imagine. This includes Middle eastern as well as "oriental" bows. They are grouped by country/regional type. I'd appreciate the bow too if this page helps you any. GrayMare Primitive archer, primitive 3d artist :-PAlan Scott posted Sun, 08 April 2001 at 12:37 PM
