Hi All, I used Poser for years like 15 yrs ago. I still have my poser 5 disk. Also used Bryce, Vue, and C4D. My daughter recently started doing 3d stuff and is using DS. So I thought I'd give it another shot (I tried it when it first came out and didn't do much). Not only do they make things extra freaking complicated period. They often installed their products in strange places and I couldn't find them. These were many old products I purchased from them years ago for Poser like V3 and tons of stuff for her among many more. It also tried to kill my computer MORE THAN ONCE during renders. As well as lagging and jumping while attempting to work. Many many issues. I was really upset so I thought maybe I'll upgrade my graphics card. Well they are Way too expensive atm so I couldn't. I really thought I was SOL. Well then I thought I'd try poser 12 trial to see if it would do better. I manually downloaded some of my files from 2005 and very simply dropped them in Poser. I still don't know where some of my stuff in DS is after a month! I put V3, a dress, a texture set for it, a texture set for her and some heels in there. Boom rendered fast! But it wasn't the greatest. I had to go watch videos about settings but it was ok. It is using my 8 core gpu instead of the tiny 730gt graphics card. I still want a new one but not paying 300+ for a not that high card (a 1050) apparently that's the most my board can handle according to IBuyPower. I play WOW w/ it w/ no issues. Anyway, a few questions: The trial version has 2 people.. and a few other items that I don't even like much and very little content. I can't find pictures of what content they have anywhere. I clicked on poser 11 to see hopefully it showed nothing. It also had a link on the page to see extra Downloadable content you get with it and it went to a 404. 1.So what content does Poser 12 contain? I'd like to at least see it before I buy it. Some folks are saying they'll never have Poser 12 because if they lose internet and Poser tries to check you.. your software will cease to work. Is that true? It's not a subscription software so this makes no sense. I'd hate to think that if I lost internet I wouldn't be able to use a program I paid for. I will never ever have a new version of Photoshop BTW.
