Hi,
In Poser 11 right now. I used the Pose dots to remember some key poses so I could get some JCM's done. Well when I used a dot to get a symmetrical pose for the shoulders applied to Dusk SE he just up and disappeared. Not sure if this is a known bug but with Renderosity moving forward with Poser 12 I don't have allot of hope for this to be fixed. All the clothing, of course went away until I unconformed the clothing items and then they popped back into the scene but while Poser is saying he's there in the scene he's not. When I click on the little zoom to selected view with his Body selected ... just not there but is there. I really hate when things get this buggy and I have no way to get it fixed.
IS there a way to fix this or do I just have to fold this all in and start a new scene or attempt to load a fresh Dusk into the scene?
Thanks for the help if there is any Richard

Apparently Dusk is in the scene. Notice that little diamond there, if I click on various bits of it I get feedback for various body parts and even the jewelry I have parented to the figure. How does a memory pose dot shrink a figure and all the parented stuff to it down to a tiny little diamond shape? If I try to zoom in closer the diamond shape goes away, I try a different camera angle the shape goes away as well! It's very very strange, this is not a bug I've ever experienced before in Poser, DAZ Studio or any other software like this!

Just a couple crazy ideas ... Check out the yon on the camera and adjust it... Check out the scale of various body parts, see if they are unusual numbers. No fancy theories, just shots in the dark based on weird things I have read over the years.

Hi honey, NOPE, did all that. I ended up deleting Dusk and bringing the figure in again. I'm trying to get my SuperSuit a little more ready for another phase of content creation and when I used the memory dots (Pose tab) Dusk and everything conformed and parented to him just vanished when I clicked the little dot. As I started to unparent and unconform stuff they all reappeared but the Timeless Hair and two of my necklaces AND Dusk never reappeared. SO using the Hierarchy panel I just deleted what wasn't there and brought them all back and I'm not going to use the memory dots for poses again, This happened to me one other time with similar issues. Thought it was one time thing but nope, this seems to be a bug of some sort and as stated they have moved on to Poser 12 so I highly doubt this will be fixed.

You might want to officially report it.

Was the pose dot set with Dusk? He has some differences in the hierarchy that might not agree with dots set with other characters.

Yes, I just set it so I could zero him out to create a morph and then reapplied the pose to him and he just disappeared. As stated I've already moved forward and started afresh but this has happened to me twice in a months time so I've decided, as much as I think the pose dots would be useful, it's just not worth the hassle to use these in Poser 11. Not sure if it's the same code in Poser 12, if so perhaps it's worth looking over to see if you see anything Charles.

I don't think the dots have been touched in years. I use them a lot and haven't managed to break them in this particular way. The best freak out I can produce is when I apply a dot to the clothes instead of the target figure but it doesn't manifest with what you're seeing. Next time it happens could you send me the dot files. They're located in ...
%appdata%\Poser\12\English\dots
FYI, They're just .pz2 "pose" files. They use the same mechanism as a normal pose file.
