The latest poser e-mail mentioned this gentleman's python scripts- some of which were free. But the article did not include a link to where any of these scripts are. Does anyone know?

I have a link but it no longer works

I know where the working link is, but I don’t have it right at hand on my cellphone. I will post it later this evening.

Installed the Snow Machine in Python. It's supposed to show up on the Python Scripts menu. It's not. Any ideas?

There are various Python folders. This is probably the one you want on Windows: C:|Program Files|Smith Micro|Poser 11|Runtime|Python|poserScripts|ScriptsMenu| and then ideally you want it in its own folder so that the Scripts drop-down doesn't get cluttered up.

There is no Smith Micro\Poser 11 anymore. It's Poser Software\Poser 12\ Rumtime\Python\ PoserScripts \ScriptsMenuThere are various Python folders. The Snow Machine does not work in Poser 12, only in Poser11. Snarly has mentioned that he would like to recode to work in P12 but has not gotten around to it yet.

I downloaded the zip. The included PDF contains:

The Python files in the package are not "compiled". I have no P12, but I changed the (Windows) script files until my Python Developer Environment doesn't show any errors. Anybody interested to test it? If anything works, I'll change the Mac part too. In the meantime I'll have a look if it can be changed to work with Superfly too.
adp001 posted Sat, 04 December 2021 at 7:24 AM
No chance with Superfly because it depends on Displacement.
HartyBart posted Sun, 05 December 2021 at 3:56 AM
Thanks for your time on that, adp001. Personally I'm sticking with Poser 11 for now. But I'm sure a Poser 12 version of the script would be a nice Christmas present to 12 owners. And Snarlygribbly would likely appreciate it too, as it would be one less thing for him to have to do.
As for Superfly, a user could presumably just render the snow (hide everything else) in Firefly, and then composite in Photoshop onto the same scene rendered in Superfly? There might be a bit of adjustment of curves and contrast needed, and a need to add a touch of filter noise for surface granulation, but it would probably do.
