I like having the second image because sometimes, the denoising goes too far and I lose minute detail in fine textures. I'll combine the 2 images to have both. But It would be nice to have a checkbox to turn it off. You might think about making a suggestion in the poser 12 feature request forum. They have looked at that before.

Last I checked; Cycles/Superfly needs a complete render before it can denoise the image. Can't denoise till you have a noisy image to begin with. If you are worried about drive life for your main ssd I would suggest you use a second drive to store Poser's and any other images you will be post working on as denoise is only postwork on a finished image. You will never have the first image not happen if you expect the second one.

Poser renders to a temp.exr, before saving both files to disk : "C:\Users\JAFO\AppData\Local\Temp\Queue Manager\12\quRender 3 213.exr". So its actually writing 3 files to disk.Last I checked; Cycles/Superfly needs a complete render before it can denoise the image. Can't denoise till you have a noisy image to begin with. All I'm asking for is the option to turn the duplicates off. Most people work many hours, days or weeks on a single image, so having a duplicate is no big deal. In my case we're talking THOUSANDS or TENS OF THOUSANDS of images written to disk, in just a few weeks. I don't know of any Independent artist who can afford to buy new storage devices at that rate. I render to a new Toshiba 6tb high speed HHD, at ~$200 a pop it wont take long for the expense to become Unmanageable.

The recent renders get deleted when you get more than what you have it set for.
Why do you have to buy new drives? Why don’t you just delete what you don’t want. Whenever I finish a project, I delete all the temporary files, be it extra images or auto save files.

Makes no sense! Why is Poser12 saving duplicates of de-noised renders?
Why isn't there an option to stop this? It creates thousands of images that are useless, waste disc space, deleting them fragments and shortens the lifespan of Disc drives and what for? I'm sure someone saw a need for this, but for the life of me I cant see what that reasoning may be. Just plain dumb IMHO.
