In an upcoming story, I have a set of twins, a boy and a girl. One is named Jix (rhymes with picks) the other is Til (Pronounced like till) Which name should you expect to be the boy’s name and which seems like a girl’s?

Jix sounds like a boy, Till sounds like a girl.

Thanks. That's the way I was leaning at first. Then when I was working on the second draft, I started seeing the other way. Maybe I'll leave it.

Here's another way of seeing it: Jyx and Tyl.

Now Jyx is the girl, and Tyl is the boy.
