Hi,
Please, I'm using the trial version of Poser and I'm having some challenges.
1. It appears some features of Poser are not accessible in the trial version, is that correct?
2. I have followed the instructions from Poser tutorial to add figures/characters to my library, but it appears impossible. Usually, I only see the folder name, but whatever downloaded characters I add to the folder becomes inaccessible in the library as the folder is empty. Is it because I'm using the trial version?
3. Is it possible to add my own pictures/character to the library? I mean characters I didn't download from Renderosity. If it's possible, how do I go about it?
Thanks.

I don’t know if it’s not possible to add to the library with the trial. I thought it was but I could be wrong. Something to check is to make sure the content is in the correct library folders. They need to be in one these character pose material scene props lights cameras faces or hands. I don’t have poser in front of me so I don’t remember which folders are plural names. Texture images need to go to the texture folder. Geometry, things with an obj extension, should go under the geometry folder.
Also if the folder path is something like runtime/redphantom/libraries/. It needs to be moved so the path is runtime/libraries
finally if you are installing while poser is running you may need to refresh your library. There is two arrows in a circle in the very bottom right corner to do that

An administrator will need to clarify if the trial version is fully functional or have specific restrictions regarding downloads and installation. Now, models added to the Poser runtime library follow particular criteria, they should be identifiable files and icons in PNG format. ATM, you haven't provided enough information specific to your problems so we're in the dark about how to proceed.

Oh, I forgot. Yes at least in the full version you can add your own content. How will depend on what it is and if it’s already in a poser native format or not. For native content just put it in the library. For other you use file>import. The only 2 formats I remember are obj and fbx but I know those aren’t the only ones. When I can look at poser I’ll list the others if no one else does first.

Thanks to you all for the responses. I'll try and see how it goes.

Take care with FBX imports: static models are usually okay, though scales may vary remarkably. Rigged FBX figures are 'pot luck': Some good, many sad, a few crash Poser. Beyond scaling issues, Poser may lose rigging root, so figure arrives as multiple sub-rigs. Sometimes, these may be wrangled, posed...
Generally, the older the FBX version, eg 2016 (6.1) vs current (7.4+), the more likely that rig will work well. There are honourable exceptions.
IMHO, FBX handling should improve as Poser transitions to 'Unimesh' rigging...
