Updated to DS 4.20. I run it on Windows 10 and Ubuntu 22.0 using WINE.
On windows all my, until the update, smart content was gone. Looking in the regular DS not smart content directory tree I found some scattered stuff in very wrong locations. I kept looking until I discovered a lost + found directory I hadn't seen before and all my content seems to be there as best I can tell.
On Ubuntu with WINE of course smart contest is useless and we won't get into that now. But there's nothing useful at all in the regular not smart tree.
I checked the library directories listed in the content tab and in both systems those are properly listed and correct. The content is in the file system.
So what happened to my content? Thank you.

I think this should be in the Daz Studio forum.
Lost and Found is a catch-all category, not a location on disc. The Daz Studio Formats and Poser Formats top-level containers should ahve the fiels as located on disc - aside from the Daz Connect container, which is a virtual composite of the folders under /data/cloud for content installed through Daz Studio. Is the content correctly present under the Formats locations, just lacking categories, or is it actually missing or failing to load from there?

The content is where it was before the upgrade, The directories are there and the content is there. DAZStudio just isn't seeing them or classifing them properly.

So where is the content, and what are your directory settings? Are you able to see the content in the Content Library pane under Daz Studio Formats?

my new install did the same thing, so used dim and it put the content in users/Public/Public Documents/My Daz 3D Library. This is not where I wanted it to go but so be it.
On the first install it went to a drive I don't have go figure, so the re download.

I use non-default locations and had no issues, so this is not a general problem - indeed, installing Daz Studio doesn't touch content locations.
