Is there still a trial verion of Poser 12?

I've been looking for it but have found just the Store full price and upgrade price for purchase.

The trial version seems to have quite a few bugs. Tested it on two computers. On an HP convertible laptop and a desktop with a lot of power. Not only with Windows 10, but also with Linux as OS (actually runs as good/bad as with Windows).

Most obvious bugs:
On the laptop, Poser dies when I switch to another application (Python editor) and come back to Poser (dies 8 times out of 10).

On my desktop (2 x 4K screens) the UI is a disaster. Obviously someone didn't get along with wxPython/AUI manager.

Thank you for your response.

I thought it might havei improved since the fkrst release, but it will not run on my iMac and at te moment I can't upgrade the OS.

I hope a Mac user will chime in for you; I have the Win version, latest release, lot of runtimes, simultaneously running other programs, and it runs very smoothly except when I do some overcomplicated things in the material room. Then it crashes like a lead balloon.

I did not expect P12 not to run on my machines. I have not had any problems with any of its predecessors. On my current machines, P11 runs flawlessly and so do various other software (yes, even Studio).

The trial version is 12.07. It may well be that the problem is fixed in subsequent versions. The free downloadable P12 is more likely to scare people off or drive them to other products. In any case, I will stay with P11 and its arch competitor. Software where you have to expect a crash every moment is too annoying for me.

When most people are able to use a piece of software file, but I'm experiencing crashes galore, I've found at times, it's an install issue. Using a 3rd party uninstaller (rather than the one from the operating system) to remove and reinstalling it sometimes helps.
