I looked around and didn't find any real-world comparisons of these GPU's for SuperFly renders in Poser12, so I thought I'd put this out there for those curious about it. Whether the results are worth the expense is up to you to decide.

Before migrating to he 3090ti I did a simple benchmark using a stopwatch. I loaded my scene file consisting of 3 characters(M4/V4/M4)  6 clothing figures,  3 strand hair figures(with dynamics) and multiple dynamic clothing items.. The scene also includes an entire neighborhood of houses(34 simple houses and 5 detailed houses fully furnished) 19 high polly trees and 5 vehicles also high polly. Real geometry folks, I'm not rendering over a simple photo background. I'm not sure how many polygons that adds up to but V-ram(task manager) indicates 6.7gb utilized. I loaded the Ultra Adaptive GPU preset and switched to the Optix rendeerer. I also used NR on all tests which adds a couple of seconds to the mix. Your mileage may vary.

Here are my SuperFly results:

RTX 3060(12gb) ::: 00:15:48

RTX 3090ti(24gb)::: 00:03:20

RTX 3090ti without Optix::: 00:06:26...(if that's not an argument for using Optix I don't know what is.)

Conclusion, in my case the 3090ti renders roughly 4.74 times faster than the 3060.

Other info:

AMD R9-5950X

64gb DDR4 3600

2 gen4 M.2(1+2tb) + 6Tb HDD+ another 6tb external HDD for backup.

PSU is 850w gold.

Hope someone finds this helpful.

Y'all have a great day.

I'm not even astonished by the result of your test... I mean, the 1st time Poser12 started to support the 30xx family, they created a scene which needed somethin like 5 to 7 minutes to compute using a recent CPU, and it needed only 10 seconds or so using the 3090 in OptiX mode.
The number aren't probably correct, but that gives an idea.

I find this very useful, even though I have an RTX 3060 (12Gb).

Used RTX 3090s will be hitting the market pretty soon at well below MSRP.  Nvidia really screwed the pooch with their both their 30 series orders and their 40 series.

Time to take advantage of it.

I bought my EVGA version a month ago at my local Microcenter. The price dropped only $50 in that time and yesterday I went to get my $50 refunded because of their price matching. At the time they when I bought mine they had well over 25 units in stock. They are down to 16 now and pretty much out of Asus brand cards. I came from tha GTX 1080 ti, so expected a good speedup. Been only waiting for 2 years to upgrade. I skipped the 2000 series because of high price and marginal speedup over what I had. It came in very handy in short light baking time for my Unity3D freelance job. I was not going to wait for the 4000 series. Point is, that the release of the 4090 and other cards have been delayed, so pretty soon you may only be able to get used ones that may or may not have been used for mining. Since the memory chips run pretty hot on that card, I was not going to buy a used card.

JAFO: You don't need a stopwatch to time the render, Poser 12 has an icon on top right you click on, and it tells you the exact time, memory usage, other stuff and what errors it encountered. I only found that function recently. Sorry for the late post.
