That is very unusual but not strange. In my current Windows 10, I would occasionally run into this roadblock on some downloads. Sometimes there would be an option or learn more link but always gave you the choice to install or not. It's Microsoft being anal again. It should install.
As for P11 patches, I'm afraid that that version will no longer be supported with updates. It is what it is. However, any script written in Python 2 should run without problems. And BTW, there are workaround instructions on the internet that can get Poser 10 running in Windows 10, probably Windows 11 also.

Right I was afraid of it...Poser 11 will not be usable in about one or 2 years....like the other Poser I brought, I thought it was Poser 10, but was from 2007.... guess is not Poser 10. The thing about it is that no use anymore wont instal in any Windows. Last was Wind 7.

This is why softwares update and old versions become obsolete.
If it does not install, I'd file a support ticket with posersoftware.com. First I'd see if your virus scanner software is blocking the installer for some reason though.

Every now and then if I download a Poser 12 installer it appears to download but something "catches" at the end. It ends up getting saved on my desktop as a generic file, instead of having the Poser 12 (or whatever) icon on it. If I try to install it, I get an installation error.
What I usually do in that case is download it again to the same location. The second time around, the download completes and then I get the correct Poser installer icon. Then it installs fine.
Perhaps that might be your problem?

Right.
Thta's done. I did download again. All is fine now.
But I do not think I'm going to buy it.. too much dollars for my poor Brazilian REAL....
The Version 11 now with good affordable preice, as said here will be absolete in a about one year or so... like some others before..wont't work anymore in the future Microsoft Windows...
It's a pity for us - with the less power of purchasing aka inflation!
thanks for all the sugestions.

All applications are being updated over time and will eventually not run on older platforms. It has been like that always and it will not change.
Poser 11 is $52 at the moment. I do realize it is a lot of money but it is still a bargain. Poser 12 is $250.

This is more of an Apple/Mac issue, not in Windows. I have Windows7 running every version of Poser out there from 4 to 12, just fine.
Poser 12 Trial install is 1.6 Gb. Not many browsers do well when you have to download a file over 1Gb, close any other tasks running, browser windows and download it again. Obviously your first download has a bad checksum, the file is corrupt.

You need to worry when 3rd party software ends its support like Adobe Flash. That's when the big scramble for replacements becomes a major issue for the parent software and end-users.

What Microsoft did there was a bit unexpected... reach into the customer's machine and render registered software useless. They could've worked things differently, not buying shit from Microsoft ever.
I actually worked for Microsoft from 2005 to 2008

I don’t know why Poser 11 would become obsolete. It is also more familiar to users of earlier versions because they made changes like eliminating the east to use simple tab in the material room. I still use it and have no plans to buy Poser 12.
