Because the mods make the banners, and none of us can draw, but the 2D traditional artists deserve a category regardless.

I understand what you're saying, but the rules clearly state, 'no 3d elements'.  However, there is always room for improvement, so to avoid such confusion in the future, we'll include a more detailed explanation of the 2d category in the rules. Hi. What's the maximum length for the video in the animation category? Also how can the photography by retouched in the photography contest? Can you add effects, grading and stuff?

And also in the 3D category, how much 2D can be used for background for example?

Max video file size is 1500 MB/1.5 GB and the accepted files are: .mp4 (H.264 Encoded) or .gif. There is an aspect ratio for video which is 16:9 for the video player. The dimension of an upload will scale to fit this aspect ratio.

      Photography - you can do postwork to a photograph in the photography section.

     3D - you can use a 2d background in the 3d category

Max video file size is 1500 MB/1.5 GB (depending on the elements in the video, the duration will be different for every video)

I was ready to raise several questions, which were answered by other comments. Thank you for this update, and kudos to the admin for being so active.

As one of the contest manager seem to be judging quite randomly what is following the rules or not based on her own taste and imagination (or lack of), could you please elaborate what "No nudity" means before I get another entry banned? Thank you.

 I have been rejected because this image does not follow the "Trick or treat" theme ...

When as you say their own thumbnail/promo is in direct opposition of their rules...  on a purely technical base... 
How can we know what is allowed or not???

I am trying to upload a video for the animation contest, it's 550MB less than half the size of the 1500MB. I keep getting a 403 Forbidden error when it's about halfway.

Ok, so I am not allowed to post an image as an example, therefore my question is deemed meaningless. I am only trying to understand the rules. But you prefer to ban posts.

I am told "no buttocks" and then I see an artwork depicting someone showing his ass.

I am talking about Entry 22 in the Blood Moon Contest so the question won't be meaningless.

Can you please clarify the rules?

Usually, no. However, questionable images are sent for a Staff Review. Admin will decide. There are too many factors for a simple answer; i.e. How much is showing? What is the context of the image? Are genitals showing? Is it adult or child? Are there other elements to the image that may decline the image?

 I explained this to you in the sitemail. Your image needs to be 1200 x 1200 pixels or..1200 pixels on the largest side.  All you need to do is make the largest side 1200 pixels.

Yes, 1199 is smaller. However, in order to keep members from making their images too small the largest side MUST be 1200 pixels. Please change the size of the image to fit the guidelines. You have until the deadline tomorrow.

Why do you keep changing the rules???  it is not written that it MUST be 1200....  it is written maximum 1200...

It really feels more and more like a rigged contest.
