I have been away from Poser & Daz Studio for over 9 years, I've totally lost my knowledge of proper settings. Currently I have Poser 12 that I just bought and boy am I standing in Dummie field. !
Can someone please help me or at least provide links to getting things set up. Sadly, I practically have to RELEARN it... Right now, I'm starting over with the new Daz and Poser - I used to be a Daz champion - now I spend more time scratching my head and grunting in frustration. At the time, I was learning Poser and doing not so bad with it. I had Poser 10 at the time.
Now, both programs have moved on - forward, and me... backward!
HELP?

For render settings, it would depend on which render engine you want to use. YOu have the choice of Firefly, which was what you probably used before, or Superfly, which is a new engine that is physically based (it tries to simulate real-world lighting and reflections) and is based on Blender's cycles. (no you don't have to deal with Blender's UI to use it)

I use Poser 13 and win 10

Where can I find access to the settings for Superfly? Well, both actually - because I've forgotten Firefly. For render settings, it would depend on which render engine you want to use. You would find them under render>render settings. There are different tabs for each render engine.
And those are my test render settings for Superfly if I'm using GPU rendering. I have different ones for CPU renders. Superfly settings can be a bit subjective depending on the scene and your hardware.

Depending on your GPU card, you'll have to find the 'sweet spot' for 'vols & buckets' size to give fastest Superfly rendering. If scene complexity gives a blank (*) or 'render fail' message, reduce your many 'v+b' setting by binary stages towards the (typically) 64 preferred by CPU-only...
Um, you may have to enable SCUDA / CUDA, too, but I cannot remember where that lives...
*) I've been caught a few times by camera being outside Poser ground's solid sky-dome, but all the lit lights were inside. So, just an unlit wall: Oops...
